PIRELLI

PZERO

Max Performance Summer
Overall Rating (6.5)
A max performance summer tire that doesn't include every summer driving feature is about as pointless as a pencil with an eraser at both ends. Fortunately the Pirelli PZero meets the criteria in full. Designed for powerful sports cars, sporty coupes, and high performance luxury sedans like the Jaguar F-Type and Porsche 911, the Pirelli PZero is built to give drivers total control of their vehicle in all summer driving conditions.

Excellent wet and dry traction, hydroplaning resistance, handling, and tread life, are all crammed into the Pirelli PZero tire, giving you the  enhanced sports driving performance that you've been craving for so long.

Features and Benefits
  • An advanced technological asymmetric design optimizes the footprint for even tread wear, a quiet ride, reduced noise emission, and improved mileage.
  • Three longitudinal grooves provide fast water expulsion for improved safety and control in situations where hydroplaning might be an issue.
  • The outer shoulders with rigid blocks increases lateral rigidity and steering response.
  • Three solid longitudinal ribs with increased pattern stiffness optimize the contact area between the tire and the road for improved braking and traction at high speeds.

Comments: I had these tires put on around 21000 miles and now I’m at 39500. When the temperature is above 60 degrees, the performance of the tire is awesome, I’ve flew through some tight corners pretty fast with a 4300 pound car and the grip was impressive. The tires only lasting 20,000 miles is disappointing but I’m not sure what the standard is, and if it’s a trade off for the performance, I guess it is what it is because I am happy with the performance. Temperatures below 50 my car will actually skip if my wheel is turned full lock, and below 30 I can get my awe Audi sideways with ease... so that’s annoying, but it’s expected with a summer tires. I’m in New England and I have taken it out in the snow, it will get me to where I need to be but it’s pretty sketchy. Overall for summer performance I would recommend, just be ready to buy new after about a year and a half, again though the performance was awesome.

Comments: This tire came stock with my car. Great summer performance tire. Fantastic at cornering and dry traction. Below 45F it is completely useless, do not use in snow!! Treadwear is terrible, probably get around 25k. Will be purchasing an all season tire to replace.
