Features and Benefits
- The Conti Extreme Contact DW features an asymmetric design with chamfered tread blocks and a continuous outboard notched intermediate rib that enhances responsiveness and cornering stability.
- Continuous center ribs reduce noise and provide constant rubber-to-road contact to help control the longitudinal forces experienced when braking.
- A high void-to-tread ratio with open outboard lateral grooves, wide circumferential tread grooves, and notched shoulder blocks on the intermediate rib and shoulder help to flush water out from beneath the tire, enhancing hydroplaning and wet weather traction.
- The Conti Extreme Contact DW features Tuned Performance Indicators, which are visible letters molded into the second rib from the outboard shoulder to alert drivers of the tire's performance levels. A visible "DW" indicates that the tire has sufficient tread remaining for both dry and wet road conditions. When the "W" has worn away, the remaining "D" indicates that the tire is only fit for dry conditions.

| Comments: My Chrysler Crossfire needs the front two tires smaller than the back. For this reason, good tires are very important to me when driving mostly highways from the New England seacoast to my family's home approximately 55 miles away in New Hampshire. Fog with the inability to see more than 25 feet in front of me along with a fine mist some days/evenings can make even the best driver a little apprehensive. Therefore, a good tire like the "Extreme" is very important to me... I depend on it to keep me safe.
